House Committee Chairmen Request Closed Door Briefing With NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang

A coalition of U.S. House Republicans has formally requested that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang appear for a closed-door briefing to address potential national security vulnerabilities and foreign espionage. The request, sent on November 4, 2026, was signed by Representative Brian Mast, Representative John Moolenaar, and Representative Rick Crawford. The lawmakers seek to question Huang regarding NVIDIA’s security protocols and his past interactions with Alice Huang, an executive at Megaspeed who is currently a suspected intelligence asset for the People’s Republic of China.

The inquiry follows reports that sensitive U.S. technology is reaching China despite strict export regulations. Security researchers recently discovered that 32 of NVIDIA’s B300 GPUs, which are subject to U.S. export controls, were allegedly deployed at China Telecom. These advanced chips rely on High Bandwidth Memory from manufacturers such as Samsung and SK hynix, which is prohibited for export to China. Investigators are looking into methods used to bypass these restrictions, including the rerouting of server chips through Hong Kong to be de-soldered and repurposed.

The chairmen expressed severe concerns regarding how much sensitive technology is being transferred to the Chinese state, noting that PRC infiltration of cutting-edge hardware is a primary investigative priority. The lawmakers have requested that Huang appear in Room 2172 of the Rayburn House Office Building on November 18, 2026, to brief the committees. The request asks for acceptance of the date or a proposed alternative by November 11, 2026.
